DURING THE COVID19 PANDEMIC WE WILL BE OPEN. IT IS RECOMMENDED ALL BABIES LESS THAN 2 YEARS KEEP THEIR WELL CHECK APPOINTMENTS TO STAY FULLY IMMUNIZED.
Here is a brief summary of our schedule for routine well checks and the recommended immunizations at each visit.
Hospital Visit; Checking your baby's health and well being begins in the immediate newborn period when the baby gets examined by Dr Irani.We encourage parents to let their baby have the 1st Hepatitis B vaccine before discharge from the hospital.
3-5 Days; At this visit your baby is checked in our office for any signs of jaundice or feeding difficulties.
1 week ; Check for weight gain and address any issues or concerns.
1 month; HepatitisB #2
2 months; DTaP#1+ Hib#1+ IPV#1(As Pentacel), Prevnar#1, Rotateq#1
4 months; DTaP#2+ Hib#2+ IPV#2(As Pentacel), Prevnar#2, Rotateq#2
6 months; DTaP#3,+Hib#3+ IPV#3(As Pentacel), Prevnar#3, Rotateq#3
9 months; HepatitisB#3
1 year; MMR#1, Chickenpox, Hepatitis A #1
15 months; DTap#4, Hib#4, Prevnar#4
18 months; Hepatitis A#2
2 years; Check up only, no shots!!
3 years; Check up only, no shots!!
4 years; DTaP#5, IPV#4, MMR#2, Chickenpox#2 is now offered to all children after their 4th birthday who have not had natural chickenpox and who have not had a 2nd dose of the vaccine.
11+ years; TdaP, Menactra( Meningitis), HPV(Human Papillomavirus)
16 years ; Menactra #2, Meningitis B
We encourage yearly check ups and annual flushots especially for those at high risk.
