Ask the Doctors In this section, doctors from our practice will respond to your questions. For example: Q: Why am I always tired? With children it is important to know if they snore. Persistent loud snoring is often a sign of OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea ) a common cause of daytime sleepiness and poor school performance. If your child is a loud persistent snorer, you should discuss the concern with your pediatrician, especially if he/she shows any of the following signs; - sleeps with mouth open, - arches head back while sleeping, - hard to arouse in AM, -has falling grades in school.
